The only way to fix this is to reboot outlook. I end up doing this 10 time a day. Is there any fix?

Seeing the same issue but I find that mail flow works as normal so it appears to be cosmetic for now. Mail appears in Outlook seconds after the ding notification on my iPad

Same here. I reported the problem over at the Office 365 forums and was redirected to here.

I'm on an Office 365 for Small Business subscription and recently upgraded to Outlook for Mac 15.3 (141024). The issue I have now, which never occurred previously, is that Outlook will quite often get stuck with message "Sync pending for this folder". That is on my Inbox, and it prevents new emails from showing up. The emails will pop up on my phone instantly, but Outlook will not show them. I have to close and restart Outlook for Mac before the new emails show up.

This occurs quite frequently, about 3-4 times per day and the only fix I've found so far is to restart Outlook. My inbox usually contains less than 50 emails and no folders. I have tried the recommended trick of emptying the cache but that didn't fix the problem.

Another trick that works sometimes is to toggle the "Work Offline" setting. That will sometimes get it to sync up again.

I can confirm I am having the same issue - folders getting stuck at "Sync pending for this folder" and that it is ONLY happening within the Outlook 365 for Mac client.  My iPhone, iPad and webmail all work fine, the Mac client is what gets stuck.  And it just started happening last week - everything worked GREAT up until last wednesday 11/12.

    PLEASE HELP!

Same issue for me as well. Very frustrating. Makes the new Outlook very painful to use.

I am also having this same problem.  It's a shame because the new Outlook looks nice and integrates into the notification bar.  In the meantime, I've switched back to Outlook 2011 and Apple's tools.

Hopefully somebody from MSFT chimes in soon.
