Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Is there a way to update to the new version without uninstalling?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
The only way to fix this is to reboot outlook. I end up doing this 10 time a day. Is there any fix?

Well, Outlook broke again :(
But the good news are... Outlook is updated! New version is 15.4 (141114).
It does not get updated automatically, but by uninstalling and then downloading a new copy from Office365 portal one could get the new version.
Hopefully this bug is squished.
My Outlook 15 is still working after complete reinstall. So if you haven't tried it already, maybe it will help you too.
I had this issue too. After 30 minutes on the phone to Microsoft help desk being passed around I got the line that it was caused by the version of exchange server that the effected account was hosted on. Given the other posts in this conversation I am really skeptical this is the cause because the individual I spoke to was unable to tell me, which version would work apart from the latest version of Exchange. I have now uninstalled Outlook 365 and gone back to Outlook 2011. My concern is that this issue will persist when the Office 2015 for Mac comes out.
I find that MS support for Mac with outlook is at an all time low when I contacted them about this issue they said there was no information on this issue. 2 hours of my life I can't get back.
Hopefully they the release will come soon.
