The only way to fix this is to reboot outlook. I end up doing this 10 time a day. Is there any fix?

I can confirm that the corporate Exchange server I use is higher than this version:

    Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 14.3.210.2 8/26/2014

in fact version number is 14.3.210.4002. Yet I have the "Sync pending for the folder" problem and only a restart of Outlook kicks it into retrieving emails one time. After that nothing comes in anymore and email I read are not synced back to the Exchange server marked read. I have confirmed this by checking with Outlook 2013 on Windows. This is also how I checked the version number of my Exchange server:

    • right-click the Outlook icon in the notification area of the taskbar (far right) and choose connection status

If your sources are correct this should mean that at least folks who are on an Exchange server >= 14.2 can expect a fix.?

BTW I can verify this isn't dependant upon the country or connection. I've tried from UK, USA and Australia and still the same problem. My account is a US Office 365 Small Business. Presumably that means I'm connecting to a recent version of Exchange.

If that's the case, then Microsoft needs to remove support from the Outlook client by blocking attempts to connect to the server and say "Contact your Exchange Administrator to upgrade their server".  Instead, they are "pretending" to support it, and making customers risk losing their jobs by not getting emails in a timely manner.

    Hi

Any word from Microsoft here? Outlook is USELESS for me in this state. Right now, it showing last received mail from 26/11 - so it hasn't brought in anything for 5 days. I just use Outlook.com these days, but this needs to get fixed.

Outlook 15 introduced to such fanfare, and i find its worse than its predecessor (almost hard to believe). I uninstalled Postbox for this junk, guess I'll be going back to it.

    Grrrr.

There won't be a fix for anything earlier than Exchange 2010 SP2. Microsoft has chosen this as the minimum it will support.
