Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources.

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

Are the messages appearing in your Inbox or in your Junk Email folder? If the latter, nothing's wrong. That's there blocked sender messages go.

46 junk emails this morning...a new record...many have <"<...........>"> format to their "email addresses" this keeps the "block function" and the "sweep function" from working...these senders could be blocked from ever making it to my account by  Otlook's coders...they are obviously from someone who is at the very least a spammer...Some also have my email as the sender (spoofing) I tried to set up a rule for that, but I sometimes send a copy of something to myself...so a "rule" blocking mails from my address would block forwards to myself

I now have to go through several screens of emails every day to try to determine if any of them are from legit sources.

    Hi,

We’d like to know more about your concern. What version of Outlook are you using? You can refer to this link. How do you access your email, is it through app or web browser? Have you tried to use a different browser or device? Do you only experience this on a specific email address or multiple contacts?

If you’re using Outlook.com version, here’s how to deal with online abuse and phishing and spoofing scams.

    Regards.
