Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources.

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

    Hi Fabiola,

Thank you for posting your response.

I understand how frustrating it is when we receive unwanted Emails even after blocking them. Don’t worry, we are here to assist you.

Before we start troubleshooting the issue, we require more information to assist you better.

    1. How exactly are you accessing your Email account? Is it through a web browser, Microsoft Office or any other Mail Client?
    2. Have you tried the suggestions provided in the above response?

Let’s add the Email address in blocked list and set your Junk mail filter setting to Exclusive. If you set your Junk mail filter level to Exclusive, only messages from your contacts and safe sender’s lists will be allowed to go to your Inbox. Follow the steps to change the filer settings.

    1. Sign into your Outlook.com account.
    2. Click on Gear symbol or Settings.
    3. Click on Options.
    4. Go to filter and report, select the options Exclusive, and then click Save.

Hope it helps. Do let us know if your issue is resolved. For any further information, feel free to contact us.

    Thank you.
