Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources.

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

If you are trying to block an abusive partner as you say and the police asked you to, this is a matter for them to deal with. You need a lawyer and should be losing that account as well. Get a new email account don't give it out freely and especially keep your social media profiles PRIVATE.

You need to understand issues of your personal safety that have nothing to do with whether Outlook Mail blocks or not. Blocking an address alone isn't going to keep the abusive person from abusing you. Get legal help and counseling.

Contacting the authorities on this is nothing but a pure waste of time and energy. It''s very simple. The blocking functionality on outlook.com does not work as I have been complaining about this for almost 2 years and nothing has been done to fix the problems and issues with this. Someday, Microsoft will get it's act together and rewrite and fully test the application, then release into production so all users will not continue to have all these technical problems and issues. Good luck to you. If someone from Microsoft reads this, take the initiative and give these problems to the research and development team and fix this once and for all. I won't hold my breath...!

All you individuals at Microsoft support have been saying and stating the same thing now for almost 2 years "We are working to improve our products and services". Is it really so hard and difficult to solve this technical issue...? I have been in the information technology business for over 30 years and if were ever to release into production a product with so many issues and problems I would be on a street corner in New York City panhandling money to earn a living. Terrible research and development on outlook.com. You should hang your heads in shame for sure...!
