Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources.

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

    > The "Block" feature on outlook.com does not and I mean does not work

There was a time when outlook.com did have the feature whereby messages whose senders were added to the block sender list were dropped entirely. This feature was modified some time last year (or the year before - I don't recall precisely) so that blocking a sender meant their messages were placed in the Junk folder.

Whether or not this is the action you or I would like, the fact remains that the feature doesn't currently exist. The blocked sender list's operation is to deliver messages from blocked senders to the Junk E-mail folder. Your choices at this point are to suggest something different in the Outlook.com Uservoice forum, deal with it as it is, or use a mail service that behaves more the way you want.

That is the issue, I have blocked other senders and I do not receive their garbage anymore. Not even as junk mail, NOTHING AT ALL, But this libertynewsnow.com keeps coming more than one time every day. My account is set to let senders know when I blocked them. If Outlook is working the way it says, every sender I already blocked, know I do not want their emails. Thus, either they stop sending me messages or the system is blocking them. However, that is not the case for this particular loser. I do not see the point of asking if the messages are arriving to inbox or junk mail. In FACEBOOK, when you block someone, neither that someone nor yourself can even find each other. That is the point of blocking someone, no contact at all. It is frustrating to see how those losers from liberty can get away and keep bothering me with their irrelevant information.

    Thanks for asking

Sir/Madam, I have been dealing with this problem with blocking emails from both my junk mail folder and my regular email folder for over at least at least a year now. I have repeatedly contacted Microsoft technical support and they did supply me with some possible remedies to the problem, however nothing and I mean nothing worked and I simply got fed up and to the point that I gave up. It has become a part time job to keep deleting all these emails that I do not want to see or read. The "Block" feature on outlook.com does not and I mean does not work as I truly believe it is a flaw in the system and it should have never been released into production for public use.  Obviously the Microsoft  Quality Assurance team did not catch this problem and issue while outlook.com was in the development and testing phases. Best of luck to you and hopefully one day they will fix this problem or send some type of a patch to all the outlook.com users so they can execute and run the patch to correct and fix any and all issues with outlook.com. One thing I must add here before Microsoft made the decision to migrate to outlook.com they had an excellent, no problem  or issues email system called hotmail.com and it was the best and Microsoft should have kept that system in place as there were no problems and issues. Thank you.
