Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources.

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

Perhaps because posting here isn't communicating with Microsoft. These are peer-to-peer forums, not user-to-Microsoft. Use the Outlook.com Uservoice site to express your wishes to Microsoft. https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/284136-outlook-com. Undoubtably this issue has been posted there and you should vote for it. Here are the posts dealing directly with junk mail: https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/284136-outlook-com/category/103929-spam-and-junk-mail. Look through them and if you find one matching what you need, vote for it. If you don't find one, create one.

Why has it taken more than 3 years to not get the message through to Microsoft.

Surely Block means Block and should not require additional filters and settings which seem to be hidden behind a maze of confusing selections.

I've come to the conclusion that Outlook is just rubbish from a user friendly point of view. Fact is you shouldn't have to open this or open that or change settings etc. etc. etc. BLOCK SENDER MEANS BLOCK SENDER...  END OF. Why microsoft cannot carry out a simple instruction without asking for endless fiddling is beyond me.

If messages from blocked senders arrive in your Inbox, then this is probably due to a bug that Microsoft knows about and, I've been told, is working on.
