Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources. 

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

    Here are some things I have been figuring out from reading all the thread and posts about this topic.

    1. The person may have other accounts they IMPORT to Outlook Mail.
    2. They may not be looking THERE to find the actual source, assume it's spam there as well (not necessarily true!) or that that account or accounts may be the true source of the problem.
    3. They assume that Microsoft has the problem entirely and demand they FIX it, whatever THAT means...it's not like they are given anything to go on except "I've got a zillion spams, STOP THEM"!
    4. MOST IMPORTANTLY...you are using stuff like Office 2010 etc for a really out of date and insecure version of Outlook or whatever and make the INCORRECT statement that it's just the same as the 2016 version online (which I don't care whether it is or not because you ain't running right no how).

    It's not so hard to tell if email that looks like somebody you know actually is and you will even find messages that look like they are from YOU now and then...see that.

    Have you ever REALLY blocked yourself??? Come on.

    Why do people still insist on using their office suites to handle email to large lists anyway? You may find you have some really, really unsafe if not atrociously old, insecure and out of touch habits and don't know how to handle your communications assets well.

    And stop signing up for everything without vetting it or considering how it affects you. You are not internet virgins anymore, it's almost 25 years since then.

    If you need to kill some email addresses, do it. They aren't your children.

    Yes. And we're still getting the messages in our inbox when they should be going to junk. I've been getting messages about how that domain or sender was blocked or junked when I'm trying to get it out of my inbox, probably because I already blocked it, but lo, there it is.

    Blocking means that messages will be delivered to your Junk Email folder, not that the messages won't reach your mailbox, They will be kept out of your Inbox.
