Still getting emails from blocked sender

I keep getting spam emails from the same senders even though I've already blocked their domains, as well as all of the other email addresses/domains that were found in the message sources. 

  • WHY am I still receiving messages from domains that are blocked??
  • Why is there no option to simply block a sender's I.P. address?

All of the spam I receive comes from the same 3 or 4 I.P. addresses, but they have tons of domains at their disposal to spam people with.

I don't want to resort to creating a new 'rule' every time these idiots come up with a new domain to send their spam from. So before you suggest that I create a new rule for each and every one of these email addresses, my response to that is NO. I shouldn't have to. Aside from the fact that doing such a thing would be far too time-consuming, when I block someone, I expect my email provider to perform that function properly and without fail.

    I have no idea what you mean by that reference, but my information comes from Microsoft's explanation of how the Blocked Senders list works. I'll quote it for you:

    Blocked Senders List     You can easily block messages from particular senders by adding their email addresses or domain names to the Blocked Senders List. When you add a name or email address to this list, Outlook moves any incoming message from that source to the Junk Email folder. Messages from people or domain names that appear in this list are always classified as junk, regardless of the content of the message.

    So, if you want Microsoft to consider changing it, tell them in the venue they frequent.

    That may be how you want it to work, but that's not how it does work. When you add an address or domain to the Blocked Senders list, messages from that address or domain are placed in the Junk E-mail folder. You cannot prevent the complete delivery of junk, only control where it is delivered. Junk mail gets placed in the Junk E-mail folder. That's the design.

    I agree with everyone in this matter, if we block an email in the MORE options list under BLOCK then any messages added should act in the same way a a call blocker system on a telephone (completely block the messages from entering any part of a persons email (Inbox, Spam or Trash).

    WHAT ON EARTH IS THE POINT OF HAVING A LINK FACILITY TO BLOCK EMAILS FROM CERTAIN SENDERS IF IT IS NOT GOING TO DO IT'S JOB? IT WOULD BE LIKE SENDING A BUILDER TO BUILD A WALL WITHOUT BRICKS AND CEMENT (TOTALLY USELESS LIKE IT PRESENTLY IS).

    Or has the facility BLOCK link just been placed there to either fill space or just look pretty?

    If to look pretty then it definitely is pretty awful as it doesn't work.

    I'm getting fed up with all these tarts sending dating messages, Gambling sites and Binary Options and just want to stop them as I am just not at all interested in any other women (I have my fiancé, future wife) and any kind of gambling does not interest me even though they do not class Binary Options as gambling but I do.

    IF THE BLOCK FACILITY IS GOING TO REMAIN IN THE MORE OPTIONS THEN PLEASE MAKE IT SO IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS AND BLOCKS MESSAGES PEOPLE TRY TO PUT IN IT!
