UPDATE: JUNE 6, 2013

Hi everyone,

This is Ryniel of the Hotmail\Outlook.com Support Specialist team. Welcome to Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the delayed response. I understand that you're having issues with your missing contacts\unable to view contacts in People's page.

It would be more helpful if you can provide the following information for investigation purposes:

  • Affected email address
  • 3 sample of your lost contacts
  • Name and version of the browser that you're using.
  • Can you verify if you can view your contacts by logging in through this link?
  • What changes did you perform before this issue happened? Did you upgrade\update any programs on your computer?
  • Does the issue persist when using a different browser?

We will need a Fiddler Trace to isolate what causes caused this problem of why your contacts are not loading in People's page and contacts do not appear on the TO/CC/BCC lines.  To capture a fiddler trace please follow the instructions on this link:

How to help the Hotmail and Outlook.com support team collect FiddlerCap traces

If you already have the copy of your fiddler trace, reply to this thread with "I'm willing to provide all the information needed to investigate this issue. P lease open a private messaging area for me" so we can give you a private message area where you can upload the logs and provide us with the necessary information.

In the meantime, please try to disable your Internet Explorer's add-ons and check if the contacts will appear.

I also recommend that before accessing the People page, please try to reset your browser's settings by following the links below:

For Internet Explorer 9, please follow this link.

For Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7, please follow this link.

For Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8, please follow this link.

We are looking forward for your help in fixing this issue.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

You will need to clear your browser's cache multiple times to completely remove the possibly corrupt cache. If this still doesn't work, please provide the Fiddler trace logs for us to investigate this.

Please refer to the steps provided by Moderator Ryniel_P for instrucstions. Once you have them, please let us know so we can open a private message for you.

Please bear with us while we work on this issue. Your patience is greately appreciated.

Thank you

If you’ve accidentally deleted or lost contacts in your Outlook.com account, you can restore them on the Contacts page.

To restore deleted contacts

  1. People
  2. In the menu bar, click Manage, and then click Restore deleted contacts.
  3. Click Restore next to each contact that you want to be restored, or click Restore all if you want all your deleted contacts to be restored.

Note

  • You can't restore contacts deleted more than 30 days ago.
