how do I add new contacts to the list in Outlook?

I have recently been upgraded to Outlook from Hotmail. I have sent an email to a new contact and I want to add them to my contacts list. In Hotmail I just needed to click on 'add to contacts' but Outlook does not appear tp have this facility. Can anybody help?

    none of this works but thanks for trying...ms doesn't have this option in 8.1

    It is not there. It does not ask to add. It//they are not in people. Ive sent and received emails from a friend of mine from and to three different email addresses. Ive been told to right click on name. Get contact is not in your list. I have synced. contact is not in my list. I have right clicked clicked on people clicked on down arrow under people contacts etc. there is a more button and all that says is print or sync. None of your solutions work! period! works in windows 7. These are cloud pcs on 8.1 perhaps that makes a difference? dunno but this one is all cloud based and it doesn't work period!!! what the heck did ever happen to right clicking anyway????? These are half android and half pc's and the two obviously do not work together!! esp. when were using an android and not a windows phone. manipulate much ms?
