how do I add new contacts to the list in Outlook?

Oh yea this all is because  made the mistake of changing over to windows 10! Really bad design as normal people like me can't spend 100's of hours to figure out a simple task like adding or deleting a contact.

Big problem MS! I can't even find contacts! It is not even possible to add delete any new contacts. Great thinking you stupid tech's that had a part in this email design. I hate it! Can't find contacts! Ugh! drives me crazy and have just come to the fact that I will never be able to add or delete a contact again in my life.

So, an email wound up in my junk box and I want to add the sender to my contacts so it won't get auto-junked.  Moved the email to my inbox, responded to the email... there used to be a way to send an address from the email right to the contacts list without having to manually enter it.

Is this no longer an option?  Yes or no will do, with instructions if it's a yes.  

(I know I can 'add' the contact by retyping it and all - just wondering if there's a more convenient way.)

Hi, sorry for the vague information. The address book I finally found was at the top WHITE area of the "Home" tab page in Outlook 2016. This is also called the Quick Access Tool Bar. (I just figured that out.)  It is on the far right ,above the funnel icon for "filter email", and below the "Search People" box. If it's not in your screen you can get it by clicking to the tiny downward arrow in the BLUE area  in the upper right of your Home screen and selecting "more commands". Or you can right click the white empty field at the end, next to the white area Quick Access Tool Bar. Either way will give you a list of things you can add to your "quick access tool bar."

  This address book, unlike the one in the New Email page, actually has a menu at the top. Go to "File" and you will see the option to add a "New Entry".

   I don't know why Microsoft hasn't simply answered this question in the forum. It is their own website for questions, and yet I could not find it anywhere in response to other people, and never did get a response from them, myself.

A few days ago, I posted with a major venting about the "geeks" who have fun making things as non-intuitive as possible nowadays.  I was trying to figure out how to add a contact to my address book in Outlook 2016. As soon as I finished venting, I clicked "submit" and then noticed the address book that was in the tool bar in Outlook, in the regular bar, not in the new email screen. Now there are two places for the address book. But the one in the New Email screen does not let you add a contact. And that is where I had been beating my head against the wall. Anyway I quickly saw how to add a contact in the main address book in the main toolbar.

  So I apologize to the hard working guys and gals that are trying to make things better in the Microsoft world. I know it must be a pressure cooker. I must also qualify with my impression, that it does seem to me that things are getting a lot more convoluted than they were before, hence, less intuitive and hard to figure out.  Ever since I got Windows 2016 and Microsoft Home Office 2016, it's been really hard to work because of all the things that have to be relearned, and not always easily. I hope as we go along here, we can return to the concept of simplicity. Maybe trying to make a machine that does it all is really the reverse of what we need. Just some thoughts.

Thanks for your encouraging words "I quickly saw how to add a contact in the main address book in the main toolbar".  But I still do not see what you just saw. I do not see any address book in the main toolbar - which one is the main tool bar anyway?  I am frustrated but remain grateful.
