Outlook for Mac Does Not Work on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite Public Beta)

Outlook launches without a Home Screen.

Menu Items are accessible and function properly (i.e. compose and send email, access Accounts etc.).

However, Home Screen does not render and you cannot see (or access) Mailboxes, Calendar, Contacts etc.

Appreciate that this is an issue with Public Beta Version but Apple has now issued this to One Million Mac Users and plenty of Microsoft Users rely on Outlook for Mac so, will need to be resolved.

Herzlichen Dank an ShredderAK (29/7).

Nochmals herzlichen  Dank an ShredderAK (29/7). Diesmal aus Deutschland.

These may be because Apple comes with a default setting which hides some of the system files. For Mac you can usehttp://www.showhiddenfilesmac.com.

This is the process that worked for me. Make sure you don't quit app. I did, so had to redo this process and back up and running.

    -Close Outlook

    -Delete com.microsoft.Outlook.plist  from  HD/Users/user/Library/Preferences

    -Go to documents/microsoft user data/

    -Save Main Identity

-delete the folder Microsoft 2011 Identities

    -reboot

    -restart Outlook

    -Close Outlook

-delete the folder Microsoft 2011 Identities

    -Delete com.microsoft.Outlook.plist  from  HD/Users/user/Library/Preferences

    -reboot

-Copy Main Identity back into Microsoft 2011 Identities

Sure wish that I could mark your reply as "Answered" as I've tried any number of ways but yours is the real solution to the problem.

    Much appreciated!

    Hello.. Wonderful news

so just to confirm,, has this been tested on Outlook Exchange Server 2011/2013 ? Or on a POP account only?

And also.. If I reboot or restart .. Does this process needs to be redone every time ?

    thanks

    Matt
