Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
That works for me - but just once. Restart my Mac and back to not working.

Outlook launches without a Home Screen.
Menu Items are accessible and function properly (i.e. compose and send email, access Accounts etc.).
However, Home Screen does not render and you cannot see (or access) Mailboxes, Calendar, Contacts etc.
Appreciate that this is an issue with Public Beta Version but Apple has now issued this to One Million Mac Users and plenty of Microsoft Users rely on Outlook for Mac so, will need to be resolved.

Solution (for Some)=
Copy Main Identity and Save as Copy. Delete Main Identity from Microsoft Identies folder. Close Application then Re-Boot. Delete Main Identity (again) then put original Main Identity ( the one you saved) back in the folder. Re-Boot (yes, again) then Open Outlook.
Many Users reporting this fixes everything for them.
P.S. This is why the Community Posts on a Forums, Jim. The rest sit back and wait for Developer UpDates!

Jim G 134.1K Reputation points MVP2014-07-26T18:26:34+00:00 It’s a no-brainer that Microsoft will have to make Office compatible with Yosemite when it is released to the general public as a completed product. Until that time, users of Yosemite should report to Apple any problems with Microsoft Office or any other software they are using.
Developers can prepare updates to their software once Yosemite has been released in its final form. While Yosemite is beta, each update to Yosemite will have many changes. Developers will probably not release a new update for their products for each new build of Yosemite that comes along.
