If I need to email someone and they are not on my contact list how can I put them on, I cannot even get my email contact list, how can I get to it.

You don't have to include that someone to your contact list in order to email him/her.

You can just simply type the address into the To box.

If you do want to add that person to your contact list...............

To access your main contact list:

Open outlook.com > top left next to the logo Outlook, there is a down arrow > click the arrow > click People > All your contacts are now listed on the left. Scroll down to see each contact.

How to add a new contact to your Contact List :

at the same People window , toolbar at top, click New > fill in the required info > click Save when done > the new contact is now included in your contact list.

    Outlook.com supports these browsers or higher versions:<br><br><ul><br><li><br><p><em>For all versions of Windows Vista SP2 or higher: </em></p><br><ul><br><li><br><p><em>Windows Internet Explorer 9 or higher</em></p><br></li><li><br><p><em>Google Chrome 35, or higher</em></p><br></li><li><br><p><em>Firefox 30 or higher</em></p><br></li></ul><br></li></ul>

    The 'grid' is a transparent PNG file used as the background image for the button. I don't know why your browser can't display it.

    You shouldn't have any trouble using Internet Explorer. It might be worth finding out why it works badly for you.

    I am using Firefox as a browser. I can not use Explorer as I experience too many odd issues [like having multiple windows open on the same item] as I have Vista as an operating system.

    The button is there only as a slight colour difference. There is no grid superimposed on it.

    Sorry, I don't recognize this at all. Which browser are you using?

    Perhaps we could clear this up finally if you posted a screenshot of what you're describing. It's quite straightforward if you follow the instructions carefully.
