Some sent emails are stuck in OUtbox of Outlook.com android mobile app

I just found out why I haven't getting replies to some of my emails:  many of my sent emails over the past few weeks are sitting in my Outbox.  This would be in my Outlook.com mobile app on android.  I see no way to get them out of the outbox and sent.  not syncing or any other option available.  I am getting a message that I haven't been connected in a while, but that doesn't explain why I keep getting emails in my Inbox, and why only some emails don't get sent, and some emails are still in the outbox that are over two weeks old.

What should I do?  This is incredibly bad, if you think about it.   Do I move off of the Hotmail platform because it is proving to be unreliable?

I think I found the answer for my Droid.  The messages that pile up in the outbox are the ones that required a download of some attachment (photo, text, doc, etc) prior to sending.  If I forced the email in my inbox to fully load prior to forwarding or replying it sent just fine.  If it said that an attachment will be downloaded prior to sending it failed.

Hope that helps.

Deleting the oldest message in my Outbox fixed the problem for me. Thank you so much!

thanks for that...would have hated to re-write the emails of the last 2 weeks I hadn't noticed this issue!!!

Come'on Microsoft, suggesting deleting the account?!? too much is lost in that process...

    fix your app!

Honestly, I have had this issue a couple of times now and have missed sending important emails. While GMail app works fine. My honest suggestion is to switch to the GMail app...add your hotmail address as an identity in GMail and use GMail to send emails instead!

I just tried deleting the oldes message in my outbox and it worked. Probably Microsoft should just add a re-sync or re-send button in the Outbox folder view!!!!!

I have been using Microsoft since 15 years ... it's really hard when you hit a wall with Microsoft and have to try out alternates :/
