sync outlook.com & outlook desktop application

i'm really loving outlook.com - jumped all in and moved everything over from gmail.

do you all have any plans to add some type of sync functionality between outlook.com and the outlook desktop application?  i manage my contacts through the outlook desktop application, and it's a bit of a pain to export contacts from outlook desktop application to a .csv, then import into outlook.com.  would sure be nice if there was a way to sync content to & from these two relatives, especially contacts & calendars.

    So what if my outlook.com email is the same email already being used in my desktop outlook and it is not an @live.com email but rather a business email?

    outlook.com = live.com = hotmail.com = msn.com

    They are all Microsoft accounts and the instructions in the article apply to any Microsoft account.

    What do you mean it is "rather a business email?"  Are you referring to an Office 365 account?

    Outlook.com will sync with Outlook 2013 with no problem, but those of us on earlier versions can download Microsoft Office Outlook Hotmail Connector at the link below and it will allow you to sync outlook.com with desktop outlook.  I just tried it and it works!!!

    So is there anything special that those of us with MS Office 13 desktop have to do? Can you explain the steps necessary to do this? Thank you. J  R.
