sync outlook.com & outlook desktop application

My question is he same as the one below but with regards to Outlook 2010.  The calendar in my outlook and the one on outlook.com do not match. When I add an event the calendar on my desktop it does not sync to the outlook.com.  Also, is there a way of sharing this calendar with others who do not have a outlook log in?  So that they can see, make changes to, and add events to the calendar?

Have you installed the Outlook Hotmail Connection (an add-in to Outlook 2010) on your computer that runs Outlook 2010?

If so, have you set it up to sync to your Outlook.com account?

Have you copied the appointments from your personal calendar folder to the calendar folder that the outlook hotmail connector created when you set it up to sync to your Outlook.com account?

Are you adding & editing to the calendar in that new calendar folder?

Are you then initiating a sync (selecting the Send/Receive icon in Outlook 2010) to sync this data between your computer and your outlook.com account?

You can share your calendar by logging into your outlook.com account via a computer browser. Then open up the calendar and select the "Share" option that is found at the top of the screen.

When you share a calendar, you can select the kind of access you want to allow, you can choose

• View free/busy times
• View free/busy times, subjects, and locations
• View details
• View, edit, and delete items
• Co-owner

To enable these options, you will share the calendar with another outlook.com account (by using the person's Microsoft related email address, which could be a hotmail, live, outlook.com, MSN email address or even a gmail or private email address that was used to set up a Microsoft account).  If the person's email address is not related to any Microsoft account, these options will not work.

For people that do not have a Microsoft account/email address, you can share links to calendar events. I do not think there is a way to make an outlook.com calendar public so that people who do not have a Microsoft related account can add and make changes to events on the calendar.

The question has NOT been answered.  I, like everyone else posting, cannot sync between my outlook.com account and my Outlook 2013 calendar.  I AM USING THE OUTLOOK.COM CALENDAR THAT WAS CREATED WHEN I ADDED THE OUTLOOK.COM ACCOUNT TO OUTLOOK 2013.  I can add events to the calendar in Outlook 2013 (the outlook.com active exchange calendar) and they will not appear in outlook.com.  I can add events to the outlook.com calendar and they will not appear in the Outlook 2013 calendar.

Just check the forums; many, many people have reported this issue with Outlook 2013.
