Just noticed a day or so ago that I've lost all of my contacts/People in Outlook (I did not physically deleted them by mistake). The Help window says to go to the People page, then in the menu bar click Manage, then click Restore Deleted Contacts. Unfortunately, when I go into the People page, there is no MENU bar - nothing (except the funny wheel which directs me to the Help page).

I found out that I could open my Outlook/Hotmail using Mozilla Firefox -- that allowed me to see my contacts (they weren't actually lost). So, use that if you're still having trouble.

I am using Windows 7, the latest browser, the most recent available KP's, Service Packs, .Net libraries etc...I log in a few days ago and all my email is gone, all my contacts are gone - the entire outlook.com is acting like its my first time in.

It would be best to have Silverlight installed on your computer as well.
Can we try to upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 9?

I am currently using Internet Explorer version 8, which is the latest version for my computer (Windows XP). I cleared my cache according to your instructions (using the Tools menu and deleting temporary internet files).
I am able to access my contacts when I access outlook through Firefox.
Another issue I have when accessing Outlook through IE is that when I move from Mail to People, each time I get this message:
"The current webpage is trying to open a site in your trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this? Current site: https://mail.live.com Trusted site: https://co1125.mail.live.com" It does this 2x in a row -- I have to click "yes" both times to stay in Outlook.
When my Hotmail account was first changed to Outlook, I had my contacts. It was a short time later (on or around 5/1/13) I noticed my contacts were missing.
I also have a problem with opening emails sent to me by our scanner in our office when I'm using Outlook. I can receive and open all emails from everybody else, including attachments, but when I try to open the emails from our copier/scanner, I get an error message stating:
"Outlook wasn't able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report."
However, I have an email account with Yahoo. I can open the copier/scanner emails in Yahoo. Go figure!
I never had any of the above problems with my Hotmail account until it was changed to Outlook.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
