Outlook.com App Frequently Prompts For Re-Login

First of all, I want to say that I was excited to see the new rebranding.  I was so impressed that I switched my main email address to an Outlook.com addy.

That said, I'm having a glaring issue with the new Outlook.com Android app.  I have push notifications enabled, and am frequently being told that my account requires re-login.  I'm seeing this several times a day.

An added occasional issue occurs when I put in my address and password.  I am told that I've attempted to login with an incorrect password too many times, and am prompted to do it again, this time with a required CAPTCHA field.  It then accepts my login, where I am prompted to choose permissions, then it takes me to the app.  Though it was happening every time at first, it's since started only happening about half the time.  So I might have to chalk that up to fat-fingering my password out of frustration.

I've never had this problem with the stock email app.  But I would rather use the Outlook.com app and take advantage of its extra features.

I too am having the same issue.

I login successfully and the app works fine for a few hours. Then i will see a notification on my phone saying "Account XXXXXXX requires re-login". I re-enter my username and password, it works again for a few hours and then the prompt returns.

    Re-installing does nothing.

    Help!

I am having the exact same problem.  I will log in, it works for a few hours, then it asks me to re-login again.  I have uninstalled, rebooted, installed again.  It still asks me to re-login after a few hours.

    I have a Samsung Intercept VM670 with Android 2.2.2

    Update:

Here is what I think happens.  I uninstall, reboot, reinstall, login.   When I get the first new email since reinstalling, then it asks me to re-login.

I'm having the same issue as well, however, I am still getting signed-in! The "re-login" nag remains and I go through validation and it STILL does this several times a day.

I'm ready to dump MS.  Forever.  There is no confidence that you will support your products for any length of time and I'm not comfortable with that.  This change from Hotmail to the virus magnet, Outlook, is the nail in the coffin...now the login issue.

    Hi everyone,

I understand your trouble syncing your account using Outlook App. This issue normally occurs due to bad caches and bad settings after the update. As an initial troubleshooting, you need to clear your mobile cache, reinstall Outlook App, and reconfigure your account. If your email app supports Exchange ActiveSync and you need to configure it manually, use the following settings:

    · Server address: s.outlook.com

    · Domain: <leave empty>

    · User name: Your email address

    · Password: Your password

    · TLS/SSL encryption required: Yes

If you have other clarification, please don't hesitate to post. I'll try my best to help you with it.

    Thank you.

This doesn't help since using the outlook.com app doesn't allow you to configure the settings. If it can, I can't even login at the moment to change the settings with the consistent loop.
