How do I change my Calendar weather from Redmond to my location?

When I hover over the weather on my Calendar (new Outlook.com site) it provides a "change" for the location. But, when selected it does not provide a means to change the location. How is it done?

I followed the clear cash. Go to hotmail calendar, different PC. Nothing works so far. I turnoff firewall and anitvirus too.

Hi everyone,

I have recreated the issue and was successful in changing my Calendar Weather to Oxnard, CA .  Simply follow the steps provided by Gwyneth_A and when you are in step 6, type in the location that you want (example Oxnard, CA). You will then notice that the locaiton " Oxnard, CA" will be beside the the "Location:". You may then click the Save button.

Hi,

Please try again the instructions provided by the previous moderator then try logging out of the account and then log back in after a minute to see if there will be any changes. Sometimes, the changes do not take effect automatically. Once done and issue still persists, kindly optimize your browser by following these steps:

·         For Internet Explorer browser: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete

·         For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data

·         For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now

If your browser is not included on the instructions above, please refer to the link below for instructions on how to optimize your browser:

**How to Clear Your Browser's Cache**

In addition, please make sure that the browser you are using is in the list of fully supported browsers for Outlook.com. Please refer to this link for more details.

Also, we would like you to change the settings of your account to automatically use https. Please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in through this link: https://account.live.com/ManageSSL
  2. Choose Use HTTPS automatically (please see the note above)
  3. Click on Save.

Note: If you are already connecting to Hotmail using HTTPS, try switching back to HTTP.           

Once done, please check if issue will still persist. If it does, please provide the following:

-Does issue persist when using another browser?

-Does it also persist when using another computer?

-Does it also happen to your other account when accessed on the same computer using the same browser?

    I have tried everything in this thread and cannot get rid of Redmond, WA.

    When I click "change" I get this message "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now" and it gives me an option to return to Outlook.

    When I click "More details" it takes me to an MSN weather page where although Montreal is the only saved location in the list, Redmond still shows up top. I change this to Montreal, and since there is no button that says "SAVE", I open the list of saved locations and re-save Montreal. I close the page and reopen the Calendar, and Redmond is back again.

    All this began when I was getting emails with the clock three hours off. It took quite a bit of research to find out why, since my clock was correct. I still get emails where the time is off, and don't know if it's a result of the sending computer being in the same mess, or because of my Redmond, WA in the calendar.

    So let me understand this...... Microsoft has made the task of setting time and getting local weather a near impossible task that takes days of research and even when the answer is found, it doesn't work for most. The MAIL app in windows 8 is severely crippled, so I am resigned to using the desktop version, so once there, I may as well use the calendar, but not if it puts me on the west coast!

    I have used Microsoft products since DOS 1.0, but this looks like they are fumbling the ball to Google.

    ANYONE OUT THERE WITH ANOTHER IDEA TO TRY FOR THIS CALENDAR?
