Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook.com
How did you get in touch with the lvl 2 agent? I need to escalate this same issue.

Hi,
I need to remove contacts of gmail from outlook.com people. I have posted this problem in this thread
and I was asked by Forum moderators Alden D. and John Paul M. to create a new thread so that a moderator can properly address to me. Now I am waiting for a moderator to address to me.
The problem I am facing is I am unable to remove gmail contacts from outlook.com account. Many people seems to have the same problem

I used 'chat' support and when they couldn't address the issue, they passed to level 2 rep who called the next day.
I am facing the exact same issue. I have completely removed all the social network accounts. But still the Facebook/Google/Twitter list were not getting removed. There was not even any option to delete them.
Lets hope Outlook Engineer fix the issue sooner.
I'm having the same issue. Google Contacts and Skype Contacts keep appearing on outlook.com as well as when using outlook on my pc. Wanted to switch completely to outlook.com, but having duplicate contact folders is bugging me to say the least.
Pleas fix this! Thanks!
Ok I have had partial success - all the Google, Facebook and Skype contacts in the respective folders are gone. The folders are still there, but empty. The technician I am working with is going to get back with me on a few days on folder removal.
Here then is the process to remove individual contacts:
(1) Open IE Explorer ONLY (not Edge, Chrome, etc) - In search, type iexpore.exe and open 'Internet Explorer Desktop app'
(2) enter outlook.com in browser search to open your online Outlook.com
(3) From the menu grip in upper left, select 'People'
(4) Use Function button F12 to open web tools and select Emulation
(5) On the left side under Mode, find 'User Agent String" and select "Internet Explorer 6" [Document Mode will change to 5 (Default)]
(6) Select 'Contacts' in left side menu and then the contact folder that has the contacts to be deleted
(7) Select the top 'check-box to select all contacts on page, then select 'delete' (see screen shot below
(8) Continue process until all contacts deleted
(9) Folder will be empty, but not removable - more to come in next installment!
(10) You MUST return Mode to "Internet Explorer 11 (default)". Document mode will automatically return to '11 (default)'
The process above assumes that you have already disconnected the accounts from their origins so that they will not automatically repopulate. Somewhere in this thread that process is explained.
Feel free to add or make changes to improve my instructions.
