Hi,

I need to remove contacts of gmail from outlook.com people. I have posted this problem in this thread

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/mail-people/i-need-remove-google-contacts-urgent/1a49dda4-ae2a-474a-b15c-17ba84ab0364?page=4

and I was asked by Forum moderators Alden D. and John Paul M. to create a new thread so that a moderator can properly address to me. Now I am waiting for a moderator to address to me.

The problem I am facing is I am unable to remove gmail contacts from outlook.com account. Many people seems to have the same problem

    Hi DeputyDog65

Suddenly my "Contactos de google" folder disappeared. I didn't even had to delete it using the IE6 trick. Yet the icon showing that I'm connected to Google is still there, but I have disconnected the account and it must be, because when I visit the connect with other accounts page it shows there...

Weirdly enough some (not all) my Outlook.com contacts (that somehow were added from the Google account when it was connected) have come back. When the problem with a messy contacts list started I deleted all these contacts, but they keep on coming back (some) from time to time... even if (thanks to your help) I was able to delete the corrupted Google Contacts list... This is unbelievable. I just can't understand what going on... microsoft seems to be focusing on getting rid of its faithful users, which I've been since I created my first hotmail account that I still keep.

    Hope you have more luck.

    Thank you for your help.

PS. I have deleted all my contacts again... hopefully they won't come back and who knows, maybe someday outlook.com decides to note that I have disconnected the Google Account...

    Hi

I just don't want to be rude, but this is exhausting for me. I have published my issue in two different threads. I've answered this question enough times to really be second tired of this.

I found some help in this thread (the third one) as how to delete the Google contacts on my outlook.com account synced from my Google account, which I have long ago disconnected, reconnected, redisconnected, rereconnected... without success. I have tried with other outlook.com accounts. I even created a new one to try to connect and sync to Google (which is what I wanted to do, once the list of contacts was clean). I haven't been able to do it and I'm done with it.

I think I'm staying with Gmail after all. The promised changes, fixes and updates that would alledgedly solve the problem haven't come.

    Hi Javi,

To isolate your concern, what error message are you getting?

Also, you may check the Get help with Outlook.com page.

We look forward to your response.

    Hi

Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to delete even using the trick. I go to contacts. Press F12. Choose user string IE6. Then I click the link to manage the folders, but my "Contactos de google" folder isn't deletable. :-(

Maybe in a few days. This issue is really keeping me from using Outlook.com, and I do like the service, but this syncing problems are terrible. Even using different account (both outlook.com and gmail different accounts) syncing doesn't work.

    Yes, use IE6 trick.

Deleting the contacts within the folder and deleting he folder itself are two separate tasks. My experience was that I could not delete the populated folder, but I could delete the contacts within the folder.

I recently was able to delete the empty folder as well.
