Removing Google contacts from outlook.com people

Hi,

I need to remove contacts of gmail from outlook.com people. I have posted this problem in this thread

and I was asked by Forum moderators Alden D. and John Paul M. to create a new thread so that a moderator can properly address to me. Now I am waiting for a moderator to address to me.

The problem I am facing is I am unable to remove gmail contacts from outlook.com account. Many people seems to have the same problem

    Hi I'm sharing the same issue as mentioned in the original post. the contacts group named google contact is read only, just cannot be removed. need some help...thanks a lot!

    I've got the same problem in September 2016.  There are no solutions anywhere that I can find.

    Same problem again in 2016 August. 

    I believe the thread started in 2013,

    the company must be very busy.

    I am sorry to say ' microsoft messed up AGAIN'

    Mine inaccessible for months and then suddenly they started showing up again, little by little.  I still have some challenges, but by and large resolved.  I did have to go laboriously through my backup as a number of my contacts (about 10 out of 200) were corrupted or gone.  Never did get an answer from microsoft after the first rather rudimentary suggestions/instructions from them (of which I had already done and gone way beyond the simplicity of their instructions).

    Frustrating and makes me wonder whether I should entirely drop microsoft at some point...like one person said "microsoft messed up AGAIN".

    Same for me and it starts to be annoying!!!

    No help from Microsoft and I guess it is on their side!
