Sync Outlook.com Task list to Android phone

I am using outlook.com for my web-based services.  I have an android phone (Motorola Droid Razr) on which I have installed the outlook.com app.  I have no issues with e-mail or calendar, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the outlook.com 'Tasks' on the phone. Does anyone know how to sync the task list to an android phone?

Just in case anyone else stumbles across this, as I did when trying to sync my outlook tasks to my android calendar... 

To accomplish this, set up your Outlook.com email address as a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account in your Android Phone (I have a Note 2).  Do this by going to Settings, Accounts, Add account.  Then, choose Microsoft ActiveSync account in the next step.  Add your Outlook.com address and Password as it walks you through the set-up process.  It will, by default, have you set up to sync, email, contacts and tasks.  When this is done,  go to the calendar app on your phone.  Your Outlook tasks should be there along with your calendar entries.

    I also carefully followed the instructions for resetting and sinking my android outlook account with no success.  When I open the outlook calendar on my phone it still says "No events or tasks".  Even if this calendar sync worked I would prefer to have the "tasks" as a separate app or menu item along with -- mail, onedrive, calendar etc. -- just like you get in the desktop outlook when you click on the group of squares on the top left side of your outlook account.

    I can see both my Hotmail and my Gmail in any competent Android email client (I use Maildroid, but the default Android client also works).  I can see both my Hotmail and my Google calendars in any competent Android calendar application (I use aCalendar+,  but the default Android client also works).  I can see my Google tasks in any competent Android client (I use aCalendar+).

    I don't want another third party app to manage my Hotmail tasks (Touchdown by Symantec works, for example).  I want my ANDROID to be able to manage my live.com tasks - not to have my data balkanized and segregated by fiefdom.  I want to manage my multiple account data in one place.  Failing that, I suppose I must rely upon Google-provided services - not as feature-rich, but at least it works where and how I need it to.

    The post does not help in understanding how to sync a phone with task lists.  I have a Samsung Edge and all features work except the task and another forum recommended that I purchase a side software program; personally my years in IT I do not find this a safe option.

    Please link somewhere to help use my phone and tasks, my calendar and emails are useless without this feature and I will have to go back to google.  Thanks Kevin,

    Let me assist your concern about the task events not syncing on your mobile device. When you setup your Outlook.com app on the Outlook.com app, it should sync your emails, contacts and calendar to your device. Initially, please remove and re-add your account to the Outlook.com app.

    Add Outlook.com to your Android phone

    Its 2017 and this issue still persists. I switched to another app called KEEP until this is fixed. Thought I would check and it looks like there is still no fix to this. Are tasks going to be added to the outlook mobile app or is this a dead issue?
