Sync Outlook.com Task list to Android phone

I am using outlook.com for my web-based services.  I have an android phone (Motorola Droid Razr) on which I have installed the outlook.com app.  I have no issues with e-mail or calendar, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the outlook.com 'Tasks' on the phone. Does anyone know how to sync the task list to an android phone?

Just in case anyone else stumbles across this, as I did when trying to sync my outlook tasks to my android calendar... 

To accomplish this, set up your Outlook.com email address as a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account in your Android Phone (I have a Note 2).  Do this by going to Settings, Accounts, Add account.  Then, choose Microsoft ActiveSync account in the next step.  Add your Outlook.com address and Password as it walks you through the set-up process.  It will, by default, have you set up to sync, email, contacts and tasks.  When this is done,  go to the calendar app on your phone.  Your Outlook tasks should be there along with your calendar entries.

    Key fact to notice is that the Android Calendar has no support for tasks, excluding Samsung devices, which does. So to see the Outlook.com tasks on another manufacturers Android device, a separate client app is needed, like Tasks & Notes.

    Thank you very much for your post. This was very useful. I have uninstalled the outlook.com app on my android phone and have configure outlook using the email app on the S2. the tasks now work seamlessly. thanks again.

    Thanks. I still don't know why they give me an Outlook app and then it doesn't work. I am also still unhappy that the journal with automatic tracking of documents is gone. That was a great feature. Glad to see someone know how to make things work. Really appreciate the information.

    I find the app for outlook  (without tasks or a to-do list) to be as useful as a GPS that only has a picture of the starting point with no destination,  no streets,  no "path" and no turn by turn instructions.

    Organization requires multiple step by step items.

    That is why we make to do lists.

    That is one of the main reasons computers were invented, to automate procedures.

    Well, computers work great, but us humans make and create tasks and to-do lists to make sure we accomplish what we are planning.

    I find this mind-boggling that Microsoft has left Tasks out of the app.  It is unbelievable that they cant figure this out.  Or what would be worse is if they are turning into Google and deciding on our behalf things we need and don't need as well as options and features that they decide on our behalf.

    Disappointingly amazing.
