Add me to that number. Teams is using over 400 Mb of memory on my computer, and I can't even get the messages to scroll. This is crazy.

Hi
Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:
Is there anything can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?
Or do I just need to buy more memory?
Thanks!

No, you need to switch to a new OS and collaboration tool. MS ‘owns the code’ for OS and App yet a browser/app start up cleans there shorts on stability and efficiency. Unless MS is just using Teams to be an ultimate resource hungry spy bot collecting info non stop which wouldn’t surprise me, they have lost all their coding talent. Win10 and MS apps and their HW just becomes more troublesome and **** with every forced update. I cringe every time I see a new one being pushed out. Argh!
I have the same issue.
1 year old Mac Book Pro (i5 x 8gb ramm and SSD).
I can run video editing and music production software simultaneously without an issue.
Run Teams with only a Chrome Browser for window sharing and its grinding to a snails pace.
This program definitely needs optimising!

Looks like disk utilization is your issue, not memory. Teams isn't using much disk time based on your screenshot, either. You should check Performance Monitor and make sure disk queue length isn't high.
Teams doesn't seem to be the problem here.
As per my earlier post. The advice was buy more memory . I bought 8gb to take my total for my LenovoV110 to 12gb and Teams is now fine. I agree MS should sort the problem out, but for me the need was to have Teams running effectively and buying 8gb more memory worked for me.
