Hi

Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:

Is there anything  can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?

Or do I just need to buy more memory?

Thanks!

My MS Teams processes are using a total of 1.38GB of RAM, and I've noticed an overall performance decay on my computer in the last weeks. I've tried all the tips but memory usage is still the same.

I've also noticed that I can't disable the option labeled "Register Teams as the chat app for Office". It gets unchecked, but when restarting Teams, it comes back (I've closed all Office apps, and even stopped a lot of possibly interferring services). Even if I restart the computer, Teams comes back with that as checked.

Teams has a lot of other bugs that MS doesn't seem to care about.

My computer sports an i7-6700HQ CPU and 32GB RAM. I'm currently using 11.5GB RAM with all processes.

Ms teams is just horrific to use Microsoft has become like Apple and selling junk tech for new prices ms teams is by far the worst application it lags horribly uses to much resources for eg I have a gigabit fibre line not Internet issues pcs run perfectly without teams app soon  as its opened the pc starts to freeze cpu usage ram usage and HDD usage go up @MICROSOFT WHY US THE APPLICATION SO UNSTABLE  please do not give us these mediocre fixes we want professional service performance when it comes to teams if not please close teams down or replace it WE are in the age of technology but team is stone age I am very unhappy 😒 with teams

    Arghhhhh!

Go to %app data etc is fine if you a some clever techie person.

But where do I 'go to'  to pu in this %app data stuff??????

In porder to try and reduce 'teams' voracious use of memory MS is guiding me to do some things but it not telling me where to start.

Why are techie people so dumb they cannot understand this.

I need a simple bit of a steer but no one in  the multi billion dollar world of MS seems to grasp this rather basic point.

If I could abandon MS it do it tomorrow. But I can't an MS are not prepared to assist an ordinary Jo like me.

    I despair.

So the answer to my question is..... https://lmgtfy.app/?q=how+to+get+to+app+data

    Yet another techie response.

Why do I have to go to the Internet to look up how to use MS windows. I would have thought someone at MS could have said 'go to settings (or whatever) and do x'.

But no! Better to give a techie answer that makes a techie person feel they've been helpful when in fact they have not.

It far more satisfying no doubt to demonstrate how 'superior' you are with techie knowledge than to actually help.

    Yet again I despair.
