Hi

Teams is almost killing my laptop. Here's an example:

Is there anything  can do to reduce Teams' memory usage?

Or do I just need to buy more memory?

Thanks!

I actually bought a new MacAir thinking it was my computer's problem! Teams sucks the CPU and hogs energy that my fan kicks in 5 minutes into a session. My client is trying to use Teams for training - it's a disaster. I'm stressed the whole time feeling my computer is going to overheat and die out. SO, I hvae to have two computers on the ready at all times just in case. REALLY??

Anyone have anything besides the disable GPU that helps? I have put NOTHING on my new computer except Teams to see if that helps, and it doesn't.

Does it work better with PCs versus a Mac? Need to figure this out!

OK, I did what was suggested and I also removed Teams from the task bar.  I will see if that helps.  When I had Teams in the task bar it would slow start up and all programs.  If it doesn't work, I will uninstall Teams.

That does not help in any way to reduce RAM usage, it is incredible that alternatives like ZOOM uses just 100MB of RAM or so...problem is that we(in our company) have  been told to use TEAMS as standard platform of communication. There are still millions of desktop computers and laptos equiped with minimal hardware specifications around the entire world. Teams developers must do a better job to correct this software behavior.
