Teams hogging memory, running slowly

I dont see anyone have a solution for this.. i also facing the same issue. MS teams not optimized to work in a basic computer. my PC really stuck when even say the name of teams. LOL... apps should be light.. and give enough space for users to work with.. now a days, when the PC boot up and load all the things by default, only 20% is available to work with.

I have the same problem. Suspicion is that Microsoft is doing this intentionally given since when this issue was initially raised, to now till being a massive problem. I will take this report to our Fair Trading Organisation to lodge an offical complaint about Microsoft's blind sighting this all together on this forum. They will get to the bottom of this no doubt.

Heh, I suffer from frequent memory leaks & high CPU usage with Teams as well.

Just in a normal conversation with someone, and it maxes out one of my CPUs and starts rising in memory usage until it crashes.

I think the highest I've seen is something like 10GB of RAM usage on a memory leak before it crashed?

Anyways.

Edge browser is a great example - it did this as well, huge memory leak (just try doing a large upload using it and watch the memory usage).  It's messy programming. 

Apparently the only way it is fixed is when Microsoft adopts other software as their own - the new Chrome based Edge suddenly has no memory leak.  I suspect their devs can fix this but Microsoft is just unwilling to invest the time it takes to write the software properly, so fixing this is not a priority - sadly, whoever manages these products apparently has a big disconnect with the actual quality of the software and user experience that they are creating.
