Teams hogging memory, running slowly

Guys, this is what MS wants, us to fight amongst ourselves. It takes the heat off them. Lets direct out vitriol to MS who can't get their own app to run on their own OS!

Loads of folks have piled in decrying my 'advice'.

Firstly its not 'advice' to anyone; I am not offering it as advice and I am not suggesting anyone buys extra memory as I did. What I am saying is that such a solution was posed way earlier in this string by someone else, should you care to look. As you wade through it all you will find no-one actually has a viable solution to this problem and the only people who can really fix it are MS - as everyone says. And there if no sign of them doing that this side of Hades freezing over.

Secondly in my personal situation I needed to get Teams to function. Loads of folks in the string are saying how terrible Teams was and MS ought to do something. That doesn't actually help get Teams on my laptop working faster. Like many many people I wish I didn't have to use Teams - but I have no choice. So I thought.... why not try the only suggestion (installing more memory) that I can actually do. It worked for me.

Thirdly - If people want to tell me how insulting and c**p and s--t the solution is that worked for me, fine please do so. In the meantime I'll carry on secure in knowledge that having done what I have done, I can now use teams effectively and with none of the problems people are talking about (the same people who aren't offering any solutions but who just endlessly complain about how MS should fix it and that the solution I chose is terrible).

I have found a work-around that worked for me on my laptop. I am not advocating others use it but using this string to share my experience......after all isn't that what such exchanges are about ?

The advice is terrible, and really hope people don't follow it.

I'm using a Surface PRO 7 with 15gb of ram and Win 10 Pro. Microsoft even replaced my entire machine to apparently fix the issue. The issues presides.

The problem is MS Teams, not the hardware. Giving people advice to buy more ram is an unqualified, and short term placebo. It will not fix your issue.

The ultimate problem is the poor response from Microsoft in this case.
