Hi there.

I am using OneNote for Mac along with outlook.  Both programs are logged in with my business email address.  When I attempt to insert meeting details, I just get a series of blank lines. This happens on dates when I have meetings on my calendar.  Attempting to refresh does nothing.

    Hi TheZ23,

    Thanks for replying.

As you are using Insider fast version, I’ll be moving this post to Office Insider> Mac>OneNote forum for assistance.

    Regards,

    Neha

Hopefully someone else will respond to this, because this has been going on for a while.

I have the same problem. Mac OneNote and Outlook: 16.36 (insider slow)

@TheZ23, do you have a "school or work" account like I do? I'm thinking the corporate Exchange server setup could have something to do with it? Is there something I have to tell my IT department to do?

    Hi TheZ23,

To inset meeting in OneNote, please confirm if you used Insert> Meeting Details options.

Please try closing and re-opening the notebook, closing and re-opening the notebook usually clears and successfully resets the connection. (Note: Before closing, please make sure the changes are synced successfully. If the changes made in desktop version of OneNote are not synced to browser before closing the notebook, your notes will be lost, and it won’t be possible to recover them.).

To know how to close the notebook, see Close a notebook in OneNote for Mac

After re-opening the notebook, try inserting the meeting again, check if it works.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Could you confirm the build and version of Office apps installed on your mac? To confirm, open any Office app, such as OneNote, go to the OneNote menu and choose About OneNote.
    2. Did you start getting the issue recently? Were you able to insert meeting before?

Note: You’ll need to have the same version of Outlook and OneNote installed on the same computer to add meeting details to your notes.

In addition, please try using the following method to insert Outlook meeting in OneNote.

    1. In Outlook for mac, open your Calendar, double-click to open the meeting that you want to send to OneNote.
    2. On the ribbon near the top of the currently open message or meeting window, click Send to OneNote.
    3. In the OneNote task pane that appears, select the notebook and the section where you want your selected Outlook item to be saved.
    4. Click Save.

Reference: Send emails and meetings from Outlook to OneNote

    Thanks,

    Neha

    Neha,

I can confirm that I am using that method of inserting details.  Closing and reopening the notebook didn't work.

I have this issue on both my Mac and windows machines and have always had it with the post 2016 version of OneNote.  I was able to do it in OneNote 2016.

    versions are as follows:

Mac OneNote and Outlook: 16.37 (20040602)

    Windows OneNote: 16001.12624.20042.0

Windows Outlook: Version 2004 (Build 12718.20010 Click-to Run)

On the step in your last instructions, when I open the meeting in the outlook calendar, send to OneNote does not appear.  This is the case on both my Mac and Windows machines.
