Organizing the calendar for the "New Outlook" and conditional formatting??

I activated the Preview of the "New Outlook" and I like the ability to create Boards, BUT I am not able to use conditional formatting to organize the calendar as I used to do in the previous version. I found the setting for "Categories" but it does not seem to apply to the calendar, only to Mail. HELP!!

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

Are you using Microsoft 365 for Home or Business?
Just to confirm are you part of the Microsoft 365 Insider program?
Are you getting any error message?

Just to confirm are you part of the Microsoft 365 Insider program? Not sure.
Are you getting any error message? No error message, the "new outlook" does not have the option to use conditional formatting for the calendar.
