Why am I getting :No subscription to create a project Looks like you don't have a subscription to create project, but you can view those shared with you. To get a subscription, contact your Microsoft 365 admin. , when I try to open a new project.

Per your description, you get the error message when you try to open a new project.

It seems like you are trying to open a new project from Project for the web.

May I know if my understanding of the scenario is consistent with yours?

If yes, generally, you need to have Project for the web license or Project Plan 1/Project Plan3 /Project Plan 5 license to access project for the web and create new project.

The error message "No subscription to create a project Looks like you don't have a subscription to create project…" usually appears when a user only has Project for Office license but not have the required license I mentioned above.

I recommend you go to your account Subscriptions page, check if you have any of the required Project licenses. If you only see Project for Office license, then I recommend you contact your Microsoft 365 administrator to get Project license.

Thank you for posting back and sharing the details of your licenses.

You have Project Online Essentials and Project for Office (Plan E3), they are not the required license to open/create new project in project for the web.

You will need to have Project Plan 1 or Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5 license, as shown below.

Therefore, if you are not Microsoft 365 admin your organization, I recommend you contact your admin to get the license.
