Powerpoint 16.31 on Mac Mohave 10.14.6 - Cannot Copy Text in Speaker/Presenter Notes

After copying text from the speaker notes pane, I try pasting them into a different PowerPoint slide -- and then a Word document.  Neither works.  That leads me to believe the copy function no longer works in speaker notes.  Is anyone else running into this issue and have a solution?

Thank you Eric. Then this is probably something unique to my setup. When I am in View > Normal, I cannot copy and paste for some reason.  I can highlight the text and although everything looks good when I hit command C, it does not copy the text into a new presentation or anywhere else (Word, Outlook, etc).  But when I go to View > Note (which I hadn't tried until now), I am able to copy and paste.  That's a good enough solution for now.  Thanks again.

    Hi

You're using an Insider Fast build of PowerPoint, but posted to the general release forum. The Insider builds get special support. Eric doesn't offer that sort of support. I moved your question to the Insider forum.

Your observation should be reported to Microsoft two ways:

    1. Click the Smile button and send a frown as the problem occurs. Sending a report that way sends metrics about your installation and what's happening with it at the moment.
    2. Because you have an Insider build you might have the ability to use the Help menu and choose Contact Support. Doing that should connect you to the PowerPoint development team and you can send your report there, too.

    Thank you very much Jim.

    Hi stevenroussoschindler,

If you are talking about View > Note, I can Copy&Paste the content form note pane by my side.

Could you repro it in a new presentation?

You can provide the repro steps and I will check by following your steps.

If it is an issue, try PowerPoint in the Safe Mode to determine whether background programs are interfering with PowerPoint.

    Regards,

    Eric
