MS Access Crashing

I am going absolutely crazy trying to figure this out. Every time that I try to import Excel data into Access, I get the error 'Microsoft Access has stopped working.', it crashes and restarts Access. This happens in existing databases and brand new ones. I have tried all the 'Compact and Repairs' and everything else I can find on Google. I have even completely removed Office and reinstalled it. Still crashes. I HAVE to get this solved. I am working on a major project and will soon be to the point where I have to flush the testing data and import the real stuff. The problem is... I can't import ANYTHING. 

It also happens when I try to use various 'wizards'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Hi All,

    @Gina Whipp, thanks for your suggestion.

    @ jsmithoijc, according to your description, I would like to suggest you open Access in Safe Mode by pressing and holding the CTRL key and double-click the Access shortcut or typing the command: access /safe in the Run box.

    If it works, the issue may due to the add-ins.

    If not, we should use **clean boot**to confirm whether the third-party installation affects Access.

    To further investigate, could you please provide your Office version and OS version?

    At least on my system, the Excel button on the 'External Data' tab is for Export, not import.

    I tried Safe Mode and lean Boot - no help.

    Office Version: Microsoft Office 365 Business Version 1710 (Build 8613.1000)

    Access Version: Microsoft Access 2016 MSO (16.0.8613.1000) 64 Bit

    OS: Windows 10 Pro

    Version: 1709

    OS Build: 16299.15

    My bad, you are using the 64bit version of Access, so yeah the screen shot will help but I am using the 32 bit version where that appears.
