This is a double post as I'm not sure that I posted in the OficeInsider area before.
This update seems to have screwed up my signature. Until now my signature had one image that was not embedded but a link. Now this behaviour seemed to have changed and the image is embedded in the message. Can we have the old behaviour restored?

Hi All,
I spent several hours on the phone with level 1 and 2 support last week (Case #****1353630666), replicating the image embedding issue. I had several customers recently reach out to tell me that images in their signatures weren't updating like they should through a hosted image. I'm running 15.25 (160817), no insider updates.
The issue still persists for myself and several of my customers - our use case relies on pasting HTML & hosted images into the signature, then changing where links resolve, in order to update images.
After a lot of demoing, the support teams were able to say that the ability to have linked images was removed around version 15.19, and that they would forward information on to the product team.
I see now that this thread goes back to March, which doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the ability to get things resolved. I wanted to chime in to mention that images are still being embedded in 15.25, and I have also noticed the other image/font rendering problems that others have mentioned.
The image embedding behavior does not exist in Outlook for Mac 2011, and it was NOT part of the original 2016 build. I'm seeing a fairly massive desire in this thread alone to bring that back!
same issue with 25
upgrade from 19 works. clean sig embeds :(
Thanks, Peter.
I have been able to confirm that if I configure the signature (including JS code) in Outlook 15.19.1 and then upgrade to later versions of Outlook (I upgraded straight to 15.24 160614) the images are not embedded and they update dynamically every time I open a new email edit window.
It also seems that if I update the signature in any way after upgrading the images become embedded and they therefore do not update anymore.
I hope this helps both users with this problem, and Microsoft fix the issue.
same problem in 24 - embeds when pasted from fresh
