Hi Kris,

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
This is a double post as I'm not sure that I posted in the OficeInsider area before.
This update seems to have screwed up my signature. Until now my signature had one image that was not embedded but a link. Now this behaviour seemed to have changed and the image is embedded in the message. Can we have the old behaviour restored?

Linked images in signatures should no longer be embedded as of 15.23. If that is not the case, then we will need to investigate specific scenarios. We are still working on some image size copy/paste issues; in the meantime, you can re-size images after pasting them into the signature editor (drag the handles or right-click on the image to get more options).
I am too still having this same issue with 15.23.
Font sizes being increased. Pasting an HTML signature in the signature editor results in huge text, huge embedded images, increased column width in tables. The workaround I use is to open the HTML in Safari, copy the signature into Word, manually edit the signature, copy the signature from Word and paste it into the signature editor.
I have just now done some more testing, and I can reproduce the above with Safari every time.
If I open the HTML signature in Chrome and copy and paste into the signature editor from there, the fonts and images seem loyal to the original. I, however, am not sure the images are not being embedded.
Also having the same issues. Verified latest insider build 15.23 does not fix the issue. Mainly centered around images being embedded and not linked thus ruining any chance of 'retina' compatibility. Font face and size do seem to be respected however.
We did make a fix for handling embedded vs. linked images in 15.23. Was this still in your signature? I will send you a private message to get more details from you.
Is anyone else still seeing linked images being embedded instead?
I've updated to 15.23 and I can confirm that:
This has happened since 15.20 when the rendering ending was changed to Word. I am going to roll back to 15.19 until I hear that all these problems have been fixed. There seems to be no urgency (or capability) within Microsoft's Outlook team in fixing these issues.
Someone needs to contact TechCrunch / TechRadar / MacWorld to run a story on this and the other catastrophic failings across the Microsoft Office for Mac 'productivity killer' Suite i.e. Excel input and general operation is now virtually unusable for serious work and powerpoint and word ruin font kerning, requiring office 2011 for output to PDF.
The fragmented teams in charge of the Microsoft for Office Mac project account for atrocious quality control and lack of management making for an embarrassing and unforgivable product.
