OneNote Stopped syncing. We can't sync this section because the server isn't compatible with this version of OneNote.

I'm currently on 16.24 (19032003).  I checked for updates this morning and nothing is available.

Have you downloaded the latest build?

Still no luck with my existing notebooks.

For kicks today, I attempted to create a new notebook via OneNote.  The new notebook was created and appears to be synching normally.  Ironically, the new notebook is in the exact same OneDrive location as one of my existing notebooks that will not open or synch.  Unfortunately, it doesn't appear you can copy/move sections or pages between notebooks with OneNote online, otherwise I would simply move everything to the new notebook. :(

I've submitted sad-face feedback using the interface available in OneNote.

The second build of version 16.24, which was available to me from the help menu and update option update .  This has resolved matters 100%

i wish i had a better reaponse for you. there was nothing i did on my end to get it working. 

originally when i had the issue i uninstalled all of office, deleted all credentials and keychains on my computer and reinstalled office. i still had the issue after that and thats when i decided to come here for help. after not using the standalone for a few days i decided to try it and low and behold it was working and as of yesterday was still working.
