PC for business use: If you have an Office 365 business or enterprise plan, you can join First Release . Anneliese_Wirth's post on 22 November : To check that you're enrolled, go to File > Office Account, and look at the version number under Office Updates. If you see 16.0.6228.1010, you are good. That alone confirms you're on an Insider build. :-) Having done (1) and followed the tortuous instructions in the article you referred to, I follow (2) and see that I'm not enrolled. So, what have I misunderstood? Or where am I going wrong?

The Office Insider build 16.0.6228.1010 build only goes to O365 Home, Personal and University users. As you are an Office 365 Business user can I point you to these pages for more information.. Thanks for the clarification: ... Office Insider ... builds only go to O365 Home, Personal and University users. So business users don't get to be Insiders. It seems strange that professional users are barred from trying out new features that enthusiastic home users get to test. Don't you think it would be a good idea to amend Nicholas' post to make this clear?

Yes you are right! The Office Insider build 16.0.6228.1010 build only goes to O365 Home, Personal and University users.
