What is the Office Insider program?

The OfficeInsider program is an ongoing preview program for consumer Office subscribers (Office 365 Home, Office 365 Personal and Office 365 University) that gives you first access to the latest Office features and experiences – putting you on the inside track for all things Office.

How can I become an Office Insider?

    Hi Christof -

    Welcome!

Indeed, 16.0.6228.1010 is the right build. Morph and Designer will be available shortly to Office Insider participants. Then, over the following weeks, we'll roll out the update to other Office 365 subscribers. For more information, check out this post on the Office Blog.

    Hi,

why isn't  there an Office Insider option for Professional Plus users? We do use office 2016 as well, so i simply cannot understand why are we excluded from this option or why it is just limited to 365 subscribers.

    Thanks

Thanks Anneliese Wirth for all the explanation!

So, is the presence of File/Feedback a 100% confirmation of enrollment in Insider?  Or can any Office user access it?

Also wondering, can I assume, we maybe shouldn't take the Morph and Designer roll-out dates (specified for Insiders) too literally/precisely?  Is ~ within a couple days of Monday 23rd a reasonable expectation?

(Before installing Insider, I hadn't noticed whether Feedback was present or absent under File.)

    Hey Garth,

To check that you're enrolled, go to File > Office Account, and look at the version number under Office Updates. If you see 16.0.6228.1010, you are good. That alone confirms you're on an Insider build. :-)

I can't confirm exact dates, but the new update will start rolling out soon, and when that happens, you'll see the new features. Given the number of users involved, this will be staggered over the next few weeks.

    Hope this helps--appreciate your interest!

    Anneliese
