Gill Sans is not working correctly. Gill Sans Light appears as a serif font and Gill Sans Regular appears as Gill Sans Light?

It appears that this case is not one that was covered by the hotfix today. The best course of action to ensure that this is captured is to use the in-app feedback to submit a report (using the smiley face icon).

We have the same problem as mentioned in this thread:
MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.2
Microsoft Word Version 16.9
Since the update to MS Word 16.9:
Helvetica Neue is NOT shown in the right font in Word, the drop down menu shows the font though. All existing documents with this font are not showing the correct font anymore!
The font is working correctly in Excel and Powerpoint.
Is there any hint, until when a solution/fix can be expected?
Out whole office can't send any documents out in the right font!

I am experiencing a similar problem. For me, it seems to be related to font type. All my Postscript fonts are missing from the Font drop-down menu, while as far as I can see all my Truetype and Opentype fonts are still present.
(MS Word 16.9 180116 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.2.)

Can you clarify which issue in this thread you're experiencing? Is it Gill fonts not displaying correctly, or a font missing from Word?

Gill fonts are not presenting properly on our machines. We have tried updating one machine to the Insider Programme fast build (16.10 - 180114) but this has not solved the issue - all other machines having the same problem are on 16.9.

Gill Sans Italic presents as Gill Sans Light Italic
Gill Sans SemiBold presents as serif bold

Thanks for investigating this issue. We're having the same issue where our font (Crimson Text; available from Google Fonts) is rendered OK in roman style, but italic and bold is replaced with a sans-serif fonts. It doesn't matter if you choose bold/italic from the menu buttons, or if you actively select the style from the font selection dropdown. I'm attaching a screenshot that I think will illustrate the issue. As a comparison I included Garamond, which renders correctly. It is broken in Word and PowerPoint, but works in Excel.

Edit: Our colleague who is running Windows, have allegedly always had problems with Crimson Text, regardless of style. Unclear whether this is due to the documents/templates being created on a Mac, or not. So far he could fix it by reselecting the font for the text.
