Read Aloud for Word not available on android tablet yet?

I can't see any way to start Read Aloud on Word on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Is Read Aloud available on android tablets?

Read Aloud works fine in the Edge browser on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and it also works well in Word on my Android phone, but I can't find a menu to turn it on in Word on the Samsung tablet.

I'm using the latest Office preview for Android.

I'm guessing that Read Aloud doesn't work yet on android tablets, but perhaps I'm missing something?

    Hello Everyone,

Listen to your Word documents (microsoft.com)

As stated here, it works for MacOS, Windows, iOS - iPad/iPhone, Android Phones, it didn't' mention Android tablets.

As a workaround, you may use the web version.

Please do send feedback through the app,

    Thank you :)

    Shawn

Thank you for your prompt reply. Apparently, I am not making myself clear. I’m sure it is no one’s fault but my own. Let me try again.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A Model # SM-T510. I have the Word and Office Android apps on it, both have the same version number [Ver 1.0.1 (16.0.14326.20140)]. I also have the exact same Word and Office app version on my two phones. (Neither of my phones are registered with my Microsoft account, but I can still use the Read Aloud function.) Plus, I have the Office 365 subscription on my computer. On the two phones and the computer I am able to use Read Aloud. Unfortunately, there appears to be no Read Aloud icon on my Word or Office Android app for my tablet. At least I cannot find it. The tablet does use Read Aloud so I know that’s not the issue. I have Edge on my tablet and can use it with that.

I am able to link my tablet up with my OneDrive and Outlook accounts, but I can’t register it with my Microsoft Account. Apparently only tablet that are larger than 10.1 can be registered. Is that right? I seem stuck in a gray zone. Even though the version number is the same on my tablet and phone, the two apps are not the same. The Word app on my tablet is halfway between the phone version and the version on my computer. It doesn’t give me the versatility of the one nor the completeness of the other.

I have been online and other people are also having the same issue. None of us seem to be able to get an answer. Is it that Microsoft has decided not to put Read Aloud on the 10.1 version of Samsung tablets? Is Samsung for some reason not allowing it?

Can I put the one I have on my phone on my tablet? That would be preferable to the situation I’m in now. Or is there some way I can I register my tablet so that I can get my full Office subscription on it?

I have been struggling with this for over a year. No one has given me an answer. Hopefully, you’ll be able to.

I hope this clarifies my issues. If not, reply and I will try to give a more complete answer.

    Sincerely thank you.

No one from Microsoft answers this question. Would someone please from Microsoft answer it! I've even called support, and no one answers it. I've left emails, no one answers it. I've been trying to solve this problem for over a year. I get no help from anyone at Microsoft. Is anyone there?

Same problem here. I've looked everywhere for a fix but no luck so far.

I've subscribed to this thread and commented in case Microsoft respond. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Thought I was going mad.

Same problem here. Wish MS would fix this.

Also, this  web  page  adds  multiple  spaces  between words.
