I have an Office 365 subscription through my work, after recently updating Office, every time I now open Word, Excel or PowerPoint, I am prompted to sign in and activate the product. When I try to, I get this error “Another account from your organisation is already signed in on this device".

I have tried multiple suggestions as follow :

My Office apps are all up to date and I am running macOS Monterey Version 12.6.

Excel for Mac version is 16.68.

Thank you for your support.

[Moved from Subscription, account, billing/For Business/Accounts, groups management, and sign in]

EDIT : upgrading to macOS Ventura (13.0.1) didn't solve the issue

To solve this follow the documented steps in this microsoft publication: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/activation/another-account-already-signed-in

TLDR: Open Keychain Access > Search for Office > delete all entries

    Hi

I tried all the solutions provided here, including removing licenses, I still cannot sign in, the error is:

Another account from your organisation is already signed in on this device. Try again with a different account.

Problem is that the used email address is mistaken for another with the same domain name.

Go to your MS ID and make an alias with @outlook.com

Activate with the alias, same password

    done

Thank you! Love this tool! Worked for me to clear out the old sign in from Excel.
