PPT not working properly MacBook pro M1 Chip

My PPT on my macbook air M1 does not work right.  Many of the buttons (indent, bullets, insert text box) just dont work, and i cant copy and paste graphics from one slide to the next, or Group objects.   is there some major issue with PPT functions on an M1 chip?

    I could understand the frustration when encountering these issues in PowerPoint and they have affected your work. Really sorry for the trouble caused at your end.

    May I know if you open PowerPoint for Mac with Rosetta? If not, you may have a try and check the outcome. For reference: Use Office for Mac with Rosetta and Apple silicon

    Besides, you may also try following methods:

    1.Try to delete PowerPoint cache:

    Close all Office apps > open Finder, press Command+Shift+g, in the window that opens, enter ~/Library and click Go > Open the Containers folder, move the folder Microsoft PowerPoint to your desktop. Reopen PowerPoint and check the result.

    2.What is the version of your Office apps? The latest version of Office for Mac is 16.51 (21071101). If your Office version is lower than it, you can update Office by getting the update package from this official article.

    3.If it's convenient, you may also try to restart Mac in safe mode, then launch PowerPoint. It helps to narrow down if any background program or antivirus software is causing the issue.

    See that Bold and cursive are selected but the text won't change its appearance

    Hello Tina,

    Followed the 3 steps but it is still not working.

    There is no error though, when I click nothing happens.. No bolds, no cursive, can't organize objects, etc.
