Yesterday (8/24/18), my desktop version of OneNote disappeared -- uninstalled itself.  I reinstalled Office on my desktop (64-bit Insider version), and OneNote desktop was restored.  Today, OneNote was missing again.

What is going on?

Have you tried installing the windows desktop version from http://www.onenote.com/download

If you use 64-bit office, click the 'Other download options' link to get 64bit.

    Hi Diane,

Yes installed this way and from my account and both ways from a fresh install, both did install OneNote, but something magically removes it within 24 hours with no notification. The problem is not that I don't or can't install it, it is the problem that it is automatically being uninstalled...

    Hi Stephen,

As of Sept 3rd, we believe we've fixed the bug where OneNote 2016 gets uninstalled automatically. Could you let me know if you've experienced this problem after that date?

    Thanks,

    Tony
