A family of Microsoft products that enable users to capture, organize, and reuse notes electronically
Hi Tony -
I'm having this same issue. But don't understand the below instructions to resolve. Can you help? jestearn@msft
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Yesterday (8/24/18), my desktop version of OneNote disappeared -- uninstalled itself. I reinstalled Office on my desktop (64-bit Insider version), and OneNote desktop was restored. Today, OneNote was missing again.
What is going on?

Hi Toni-Jan,
One thing you could try is to opt out of the Office Insiders program by following the instructions here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider\_wintp-insider\_install/how-do-i-opt-out-of-office-365-insider-program/16136076-62c0-450d-a8a6-7c069a1996dc
When you reinstall Office after that, you should get OneNote 2016 back.
Thank you,
Tony
yes still have that issue, in fact, office 365 is now installing without OneNote.
Office tech tried to help... but no success

Hi Stephen,
As of Sept 3rd, we believe we've fixed the bug where OneNote 2016 gets uninstalled automatically. Could you let me know if you've experienced this problem after that date?
Thanks,
Tony
