Word can't print due to a problem with the printer setup

MS Word for Mac version 16.14

No changes to system.  Word update installed yesterday, since that time, Word alone can't print from the system, pops this error each time before the print dialogue. Will not print.  Other MS Office products still working fine (excel, etc). Printing from any other application on system also works fine.  Reboot did not help either.

Any other ideas?

Updated to 16.4.1 (180613) today and it seems to have fixed the bug.

    What version and build of Office did you just install? You can find that by going to the Word > About Word menu and looking for the line that reads "18xx (xxxxxx)."

    Can you provide the full, exact error that you're receiving when trying to print? Also, what printer are you using? Have you updated the printer drivers to the most recent version?

    Hi Jesse, The error message reads exactly as follows: Word can't print due to a problem with the printer setup.

    I don't like to sound as if I'm jumping to conclusions, but my systems worked fine yesterday until I installed the new program.

    All printers, from Canon to Epsom, are doing the same thing. Display message, print one message and no prints after that.

    I have tried reinstalling the printer software to no avail. The only way I can get the printer to print is close Word, reboot, open Word and get one print. It's really a nuisance.

    Same problem here. Only happens with Word, other software (including PowerPoint) is just fine.

    My printer driver is from Canon - UFR II/UFRII LT Printer Driver & Utilities for Macintosh V10.15.0

    Piling on just for the record. Same issue as everyone else. Open, print, get message, get a printout, then only messages afterwards with no printout. After the first message and printout, the preview in the print window is blank from that point forward.

    Word 16.14 (180602) with a CanonMF634CDW.
