Has anyone seen this before. Any advise on how to move back to default position?

    Hi Ed,

I hope the search box issue has been resolved by your site. If not, please try to turn off the Coming Soon and restart again to see if it is moved back.

    Regards,

    Cici

FYI, not everyone in Insider actually sees "Coming Soon."

That was a problem last time, a couple years ago, when they first came up with the idea, and it's a problem this time, too.

There's some other variable beyond just having an Insider build, but I never could figure out what it is.

Yes and no thanks for the "Clean Views" idea.  Nobody warns you to think about the custom views that you spent time to create.

Although I did see someone indicate you could move the search bar over to the right I cannot figure out how to do that.

Maybe someone could clear that up.

NOTHING I READ WAS HELPFUL.  ABOUT WHAT I HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM MICROSOFT.

Moving the search bar was ridiculous and insane.   Someone needs shot or fired.

Microsoft needs real life users who are heavy users of Office Suite and understand a users needs.

Especially the need for a user not to have to move a mouse 19 miles to click in box to change focus, or learn another insane shortcut CTRL+E for search bar.

Thank you for at least providing a f*ing way to turn off what Microsoft thinks is relevant under search options.

Now give us an option to MOVE the search back to below the ribbon.

Don't you all see that this issue is raised almost 1 year ago? Since then several updates have came and non has corrected this, it's clear that Microsoft does not want that or doesn't care.

I recently have the chance to work on another office 365 install, that still has the old search... What a relief, I was so excited to have it back and working properly that I seriously consider getting rid of that insider Office builds and get the normal o365 package.

My main issue with that dumb search is not the placement but how it (doesn't) work. In old search mails were FILTERED dynamically as soon as you start typing in the search, showing just the mails that contained the search criteria. Now you have to press ENTER and search is not dynamic even if that option in settings is active...it's just showing dynamically 2 or 3 results and not a real filtering
